Debbie Palmer

I have been a fitness instructor for about 30 years now. That sounds scary. But time sure flies when you are having fun. I have always loved music and dance so I decided to combine that with my love of health and fitness to become an instructor.
I started my fitness career teaching Aquatic fitness at the Uof L. That seemed like a good fit since I love the water. I expanded to "land" fitness the next year. And well the rest is history. I teach here ay LSCO and I have my own fitness business in Fort Macleod where I live. I teach all sorts of classes ... pilates, aerobic, strength training, boot camp and chair pilates for seniors.
As for my personal life, I have a wonderful husband Carl. We have been married almost 37 years now and still having fun. We love our trips to California? Oregon coast and actually anywhere there is water. I love the Ocean. Everything about it fascinates me. I love the creatures in it. I love listening to it. I love playing in it. I enjoy working in my yard and reading in my"still" time
I have learned so much over the years as an instructor. I have learned that life has its ups and downs but enjoyment and fun can always be found. If I can help people find the fun in exercise then I have done my job. I have learned that you should never say "I can't do that". It is amazing what people can do with motivation and support. I love a quote from Walt Disney .. " Sometimes it is fun to do the impossible"
