We hate to say it, but Christmas is quickly approaching, and so is the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization’s annual giving campaign for our Christmas Dinner.
For more than five decades, the LSCO has welcomed people from across the community to share a warm Christmas meal, friendly conversation, and a sense of belonging. The 57th Free Christmas Dinner will once again be open to anyone who needs a warm meal and some socialization during the holiday season.
This cherished tradition is about more than turkey and all the fixings. It is about ensuring that no one has to spend Christmas feeling hungry, forgotten, or alone. Every year, LSCO staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners come together to create a welcoming holiday experience for older adults, families, individuals, first responders, and anyone else who could benefit from a meal and a friendly face.
Community Christmas dinners have historically welcomed the entire community—not only seniors—and have included both in-person meals and meal delivery initiatives when needed.
Our Goal: $25,000
This year, LSCO is working to raise $25,000 through our annual giving campaign. Your donation will help make the free Christmas Dinner possible while also supporting LSCO’s programs and services for older adults throughout the year.
A gift to this campaign helps provide:
- A warm and nourishing Christmas meal.
- A welcoming place for people to gather and connect.
- Support for LSCO programs that promote health, independence, and active living.
- Essential services that help seniors remain connected to their community.
