April 15th -19th is National Volunteer Week ! If you have volunteered with us in the past year, then these events are for you.

General Volunteering

Dishwashers
Weekdays 8-11 am and 11:30 am-2:30 pm
We require dishwashers from 8-11 am and 11:30 am- 2:30 pm to facilitate LSCO Meals on Wheels and
our dining room needs. This job involves scrubbing pots, soaking coffee cups and cutlery and running
everything through our commercial dishwasher. Dishwashers are an important part of our team, helping
to keep meals affordable at LSCO.

Winners Bingo Volunteer
Thursdays 11am- 4pm
LSCO runs the bingo program at Winners Bingo to raise money for our organization. Volunteers are
needed to help at the bingo hall. Activities range from selling bingo cards to counting money in a smoke-
free environment. Our bingo team is fabulous, but we are almost always in need of an extra helper or
two. You’ll get your steps in if you work on the floor, selling bingo cards, and all volunteers are entitled
to a free lunch!
We are happy to have short-term volunteers, or those who can commit to once/week or even
once/month. Volunteers who have community service hours to complete are also welcome to apply.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Numeracy is an essential skill.

LSCO Meals on Wheels Kitchen Prep- Weekdays 8 am-10:30 (flexible)
We prepare meals 5 days a week, along with extra meals on Fridays. MOW prep volunteers are an
important part of kitchen team and assist our chef in preparing meals and organizing the routes for
delivery. If you are comfortable in a kitchen, looking to gain confidence or job experience, we would love
to hear from you.

Friday Music
11am-2 pm (flexible)
LSCO has music Fridays in the stage area/dining room. If you play an instrument, can sing or are in a
band, we would love to hear you! Many seniors come to the dining room for Friday music. Old songs,
new songs- our center loves musical talent!
