Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group

The Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group is now meeting at the LSCO. The purpose of the group is to help families and caregivers maintain and increase feelings of self-worth and control by sharing common experiences. Working together can assist people and alleviate feeling of helplessness. The group meets in Room B the 3rd Tuesday of the month. For more information call Vedna at 403-329-3766.

Sunset Alcoholics

This group meets in Rooms C/D Thursdays at 7:00 pm.

Morning Eye Opener

This group meets in Rooms C/D Saturday Mornings at 9:00 am.

Celiac Support Group

Celiac Disease can begin at any age and can have debilitating symptoms. Everyone who has Celiac Disease, or has an interest in it, is invited. The group meets the last Monday of January, September and May.

Embracing Life’s Changes Coffee & Conversation Support Group

This is an on-going drop-in group. Participants are welcome to drop-in whenever they are available. Participants share concerns/worries when they are comfortable to talk in the group. Support and encouragement is offered to all participants. The group meets every Wednesday afternoon at 1:15 p.m. There is no charge to participate in the group.
 Everyone is welcome and membership at LSCO is not required. Coffee is supplied by LSCO but donations are accepted.

Lethbridge Stroke Recovery Association

This group is a non-profit, non-denominational, educational, social organization devoted to the interests of stroke survivors, their families and close friends. People of all ages are welcome.

The group meets the 2nd Wednesday at 7:00 pm in room A, September through June.

On Our Own

A support group for widows, widowers and divorcees, who meet for a social hour every Wednesday in the LSCO Dining Room at 2:00 pm. The group also holds information meetings every two months at 1:00 pm (before the weekly meeting). There is also the opportunity for the recently bereaved to meet separately and share their grief.

Parkinson’s Support Group

For individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and their loved ones. The monthly meeting provides education, advocacy and support. This group meets the 3rd Thursday of the month, 2:00 pm at the Centre.

We empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders.

Club Mission
We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. The group meets every Tuesday from 12:00 – 1:00 pm in the LSCO Board Room.

Trigeminal Neuralgia Support Group (TN)

This group meets every second Saturday of the month at 2:00 pm and is open to anyone who wishes to learn more about Trigeminal Neuralgia. The program aims to support TN sufferers and their families, while increasing awareness of TN. 
It involves education, guest speakers and open discussion.
