This course is designed for the beginner who wants to learn the basics of a computer using Windows as their operating system. We will cover the components of the computer: hardware and software and how they work, handling the mouse, keyboard and function keys, become familiar with the desktop, typing and saving a document, how to do a search and printing the information. FACEBOOK & SOCIAL NETWORKING
This 4 day course focuses primarily on Facebook with some discussion on other ways to use social networking (Pinterest, Instagram). You will be shown how to set up Facebook, set up your profile, find and add friends, how to make sense of privacy options, what to avoid, much more. Bring your own laptop or iPad.

A search engine is really a general class of programs however; the term is often used to specifically describe systems like Google, Bing, Yahoo that enables users to search for documents on the World Wide Web. If you would like to learn which one might be the best for you to use, what to avoid, etc. register for this class. Bring your own laptop or iPad.

INTRODUCTION TO YOUR iPAD
If you need some assistance to learn how to connect to the Internet, find and install a variety of “Apps” this class is for you. You must own an iPad to register. Bring it fully charged each day. It is expected that participants registering will have different skills and knowledge therefore you are encouraged to bring a list of things you would like to learn.
